Our November Monthly Meeting will feature Sacramento historian William Burg, president of Preservation Sacramento, presenting case studies of historic preservation efforts in Sacramento from the 1960s through the 2010s–some successful, some unsuccessful. We’ll discuss the goals achieved and lessons learned from each.
Then prepare to practice the Strong Towns 4-Step Process for Public Investment in small groups!:
1) Humbly observe where people in the community struggle to use the city as it has been built.
2) Ask the question: What is the next smallest thing we can do right now to address that struggle?
3) Do that thing. Do it right now.
4) Repeat.
Finally, let’s celebrate our recent events: Parking Day, Clean Air Day, and back-to-back panels with Strong Towns founder Charles Marohn!
