Strong SacTown is planning an event for global Parking Day on Saturday, September 20! The goal is to demonstrate better uses for parking space by holding an event with art, outreach, and activism.
At this year’s event, we’ll create a pop-up social space with tables and chairs where people can relax, share conversation, and enjoy food from local vendors while getting informed about the new daylighting law in CA.
Join us and help to spark conversations about how small design choices can create safer, more welcoming streets for everyone.
We need your help to gather materials, plan fun programming, and table at the event! Sign up to volunteer today!
Date: Saturday, September 20
Time: 9 AM – 1 PM
Location: L St & 20th St, Sacramento
Send any questions to StrongSacTown@gmail.com.
About Parking Day
Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.
