December 2023 Monthly Meeting

Our December 2023 monthly meeting will be on Thursday, December 7th from 6-7 PM at Old Soul at the Weatherstone. This will be our last meeting of the year and we’ll do a review of our accomplishments in 2023 and share our proposed priorities & objectives for 2024! We will also have a brief lesson about talking to our elected officials, brought to you by one of our very own Strong SacTown members.

Are you new? Come by early and introduce yourself.

Other News:

  • Transit Effect Research
Do you have information about the effect transit has on different issues, such as environmental, quality of life, and housing? If so, we’d love to learn more about it. Strong SacTown has been asked to partner with SMART and ECOS on a contract with SacRT to inform the public of how public transit benefits everyone in the city. Please contact <strongsactown.org> if you can help!
  • November 28th City Council Meeting
Please join us at 5PM at City Hall (915 I St., 1st Floor) to demonstrate your support for using FAR to determine where and how to build things instead of arbitrary zoning laws. Comments must be made in person. See our guide on how to make public comment if you’ve never been to a City Council meeting.
  • Strong SacTown Movie Night: Urbanized
Come join our first ever movie night next Sunday, December 3rd at 3PM! We’ll be meeting at 1818 G St. and will watch Urbanized, a 2011 documentary about how cities are designed.
